Artistic Swimming

– Athlete Tryouts: District team selection will be managed by Sask Badminton. Districts are to have two trials/camps which are to be a round robin tournament for singles only. The top five players after a round robin play will determine the District Team, plus alternates. Further details to come.

Biathlon

– Age Classification: 11 – 14 YOA (OB 2012-2015)

– Athlete Tryouts: District team selection will be managed by Biathlon Sask. Athletes will be selected through District qualification trials, prior to which they must have received instruction from an NCCP trained or certified Biathlon coach. A Sask Cup Race in December 2025 is planned for Districts to use as a qualification event to select teams. Each District may also select teams internally using their own criteria. Bowling – Special Olympics

– Team Size: 5 athletes — teams are not subject to a given male/female ratio and can be exclusively male or female; 1 coach, 1 manager

– Athlete Tryouts: District team selection will be managed by Special Olympics Saskatchewan. All teams must submit a complete team roster with the Provincial Office by November 30, 2025. Any team member listed on the final team roster must have participated in the District Qualifying Competition. Further details to come.

Curling

* Managers are only required when the coach for the men’s team is female, or the coach for the women’s team is male; in   this instance, a team manager of the same gender will be appointed to the team in question. One certified coach is required   per team.

– Athlete Tryouts: District team selection will be managed by CURLSASK. Each team must register its four players and coach   with the CURLSASK online registration by the Entry Deadline (January 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon) and declare which club they   will represent for the competition. District Playdowns will be held at various locations across the province on January 9,   2026  and will carry a fee of $160. Participants can register online here.

Figure Skating

– Age Classification: All Singles and Dance categories must meet minimum test requirements as outlined under Eligibility section of the Technical Package. Competitors must be at a minimum 10 years old and no older than 17 years of age as of July 1st, 2025.

– Athlete Tryouts: District team selection is managed by Skate Canada – Saskatchewan. Competitors must enter the     corresponding category at STARSkate Invitational (December 5th-7th in Yorkton) to qualify for the 2026 Saskatchewan   Winter Games. Weight Lifting

1. All Athletes wishing to be considered for selection must complete and submit the 2026 Sask Games Submission of Interest Form on or before January 1, 2026
2. Must be a registered member of Saskatchewan Weightlifting by January 10, 2026
3. Must remain as a registered member in good standing with their Training Centre, Sask Weightlifting, and Canada Weightlifting, up to and including the Games.
4. Have competed in at least one sanctioned competition between Oct 1, 2025 and January 24, 2026 to be eligible for selection. Only results from sanctioned competitions will be considered for selection.
5. The athletes with the highest % of the marker from a qualifying competition will be named to the team,  with a maximum of two (2) per IWF bodyweight category.

*Note regarding district selection: Athletes are selected to their district team based on their domicile  residence, not the district for the Training Centre that they are a member of (i.e. a swimmer living in  White City might be a member of CrossFit Regina but is not eligible for the Regina District for the Games, he/she would be eligible for the South East District; OR a swimmer living in Martensville might  be a member of a Saskatoon Training Centre but is not eligible for the Saskatoon District for the games, he/she would be eligible for Prairie Central District.– Sport Schedule: TBA
