The purpose of the Rivers West District for Sport, Culture & Recreation Inc. Facility Operator Support Program (FOSP) is to provide financial assistance and support to organizations, communities and individuals to attend training and educational opportunities specific to the operation and management of recreational facilities within the boundaries of Rivers West District.

Coaching Assistance Program (CAP)

The purpose of the Rivers West District for Sport, Culture & Recreation Inc.  Coaching Assistance Program (CAP) is to provide financial assistance to individuals seeking to enhance their coaching knowledge and skills through participation in coaching education and certification opportunities.
Through the Coaching Assistance Program, Rivers West District provides financial support to assist coaches in accessing training opportunities that contribute to the development of sport within the District.

The Play, Create, Participate Grant (PCPG) is designed to help youth in Rivers West District communities discover new opportunities to play, create and participate in meaningful sport, culture, and recreational activities.
Funding supports projects that encourage participation, skill development, and hands-on experiences in sport, culture, and recreation.

The Rivers West District Event and Partnership Building Program (EPBP) provides up to $500 to help member organizations host inclusive sport, culture, or recreation events within the District. Funding supports projects that build community connections and celebrate participation across the Rivers West region.

• Increase physical activity opportunities for seniors
• Promote social connection and reduce isolation
• Improve accessibility and affordability
• Reach new or underserved participants
• Demonstrate strong community impact

Rivers West District is offering 4 communities or organizations the opportunity to receive a Notice Nature Kit (valued at $650) this June as part of Parks and Recreation Month. Apply now if you want to bring more outdoor experiences to your community!

Who can apply: Schools, daycares, regional parks, communities or organizations offering summer programming for all ages

Indigenous Community Sport Development Grant (ICSDGP)

THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS APRIL 30 AND OCTOBER 31 ANNUALLY
*The spring deadline has been moved to an earlier date to ensure accessibility of this funding for spring sports.

The purpose of the Indigenous Community Sport Development Grant Program (ICSDGP) is to provide greater sport participation and development opportunities for Indigenous youth in Saskatchewan.  The program will assist and support the implementation of organized community sport programs to increase sport opportunities for youth in the Aboriginal community, specifically in urban, rural, on-reserve, isolated and northern communities.

Sask Lotteries Community Grant Program (SL-CGP)

The Sask Lotteries Community Grant Program assists non-profit, volunteer-led, community organizations. These organizations develop impactful and innovative sport, culture and recreation programs that meet the needs of the local community.

Every year, these community grants help fund diverse programs and activities, such as:

• Youth beading programs
• Taekwondo clubs
• Music camps
• Hockey tournaments
• Air Cadets
• Senior fitness classes
• Curling
• Swimming clubs
• Paint nights
• And more!
