Rosetown, Sask. – Rivers West District for Sport, Culture & Recreation is proud to announce the 2019 Award Recipients of the Rivers West District Volunteer Recognition Awards. The following individuals, groups, organizations and facility will be receiving awards for their outstanding volunteer efforts in the Rivers West District:

The recipients received their awards at a banquet held in their honour at the Kyle Elks & Community Hall (210 3rd Street West, Kyle) on Tuesday, April 9th, 2019.

Do you want to be part of the Rivers West District Mobile Playground Program Summer Staff?
Rivers West District Mobile Playground Program
The purpose of the Mobile Playground Program is to provide the children of the Rivers West District, who do not have access to any other sport, culture & recreation programs, a day of organized, fun activities during the summer.
Children must be between the ages of 5 and 11 with a maximum of 30 participants.
Communities must have an active Rivers West District Memberships paid before they will be allowed to book days for this program.
The purpose of the Indigenous Community Sport Development Grant Program (ICSGP) is to provide greater sport participation and development opportunities for Indigenous youth in Saskatchewan. The program will assist and support the implementation of organized community sport programs to increase sport opportunities for youth in the Aboriginal community, specifically in urban, rural, on-reserve, isolated and northern communities.
The ICSGP is jointly funded through Sport Canada’s Aboriginal Participation Bilateral through the Province of Saskatchewan, and the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation.The grant is designed to support the development and implementation of community sport programs. For eligibility requirements, refer to the program guidelines and/or contact a support organization listed on page 3 of the Community Sport for Children and Youth Planning Toolkit. Completing this workbook and the worksheets will assist you with the grant application process for this grant as well as other funding programs.
