SSFA 55+ Champion Adds Another Gold to Collection

Edna Foster poses (below) with her latest medal, a gold in bowling at the 55+ Canada Games in Brampton, ON. "I was fortunate enough to get the gold" said Edna, age 97, who competed in the 85+ women's category.

SSFA Provincial 55+ Games

The Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association Provincial 55+ Games took place in the Battlefords on July 5-7, 2016.

The official Game Results for Rivers West District participants is now available here. SSFA Rivers West District had a record number of entries and we exceeded expectations with new activities introduced and a great number of volunteers who participated.

Mobile Playground Program

Rivers West District Mobile Playground Program
The purpose of the Mobile Playground Program is to provide the children of the Rivers West District, who do not have access to any other sport, culture & recreation programs, a day of organized, fun activities during the summer.
Children must be between the ages of 5 and 11 with a maximum of 30 participants.

Communities must have an active Rivers West District Memberships paid before they will be allowed to book days for this program.

Rivers West District has wrapped up another incredibly successful Mobile Playground Program Summer! We would like to thank Chantale Crivea, Brayden Kotyk, Taylor Fedler and Tawnie Kotyk for all their hard work to make summer 2016 so successful!

Aboriginal Community Sport Grant

The purpose of the Aboriginal Community Sport Grant Program (ACSGP) is to provide greater sport participation and development opportunities for Aboriginal youth in Saskatchewan, especially youth living in urban, rural, on-reserve, isolated and northern communities.

Eligible communities can access the grant program, which is funded by Sport Canada Aboriginal Participation and the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation. The grant is designed to support the development and implementation of community sport programs. For eligibility requirements, refer to the program guidelines and/or contact a support organization listed on page 3 of the Community Sport for Children and Youth Planning Toolkit. Completing this workbook and the worksheets will assist you with the grant application process for this grant as well as other funding programs.
